Walt Disney World knows how important it is for families to have a stroller as they walk through each Disney park, water park, and Disney Springs. Animal Kingdom is no different and offers Animal Kingdom stroller rentals at the entrance of the park. For families who are unsure if they need a stroller at Animal Kingdom, keep in mind that Animal Kingdom covers more space than Magic Kingdom. Below are a few tips for families to consider before embarking on their next Disney trip to Animal Kingdom!
Where to Find Animal Kingdom Stroller Rentals
Thankfully, Animal Kingdom stroller rentals can be found right inside the Animal Kingdom entrance. The stroller rental area is the only location in Animal Kingdom; guests can find it at Garden Gate Gifts, as seen in the photo above. Per Disney’s website, this is the only location for renting strollers in Animal Kingdom. Guests that need a mobility device can use their own, rent through a company called ScooterBug, or rent through another third party.
Animal Kingdom Stroller Rules
There are, of course, some rules and restrictions that come with Animal Kingdom stroller rentals. Some of the rules are self-explanatory, but we will share them anyway. Here are a few things to remember:
- Guests cannot remove strollers from the park nor take a stroller from park to park (see more info under ‘Keep Your Stroller Receipt Close’)
- Strollers must fold up in order to be carried onto Disney buses, small boats, or trams.
- Guests should abide by the maximum weight limits for single and double strollers
- Strollers cannot be brought into ride lines
Stroller Rental Cost
Animal Kingdom stroller rentals include single and double strollers, both of which have different rental costs. For those who have a child who weighs 50 pounds or less, a single stroller can be rented for $15 for one day. Multi-day park-hopping guests can pay $13 per day instead. For families who have two children weighing 100 pounds or less together, a double stroller can be rented. A one-day rental fee is $31, and a multi-day length of stay rental fee is $27 per day.
Renting a Stroller Through a 3rd Party
For those who want the freedom to take their stroller from park to park but don’t want to travel with a bulky stroller, renting an Orlando stroller rental through a third party is the best option. Companies like BabyQuip, offer single strollers, double strollers, and infant attachments. A BabyQuip Provider can meet up with you at the airport, at your rental, or wherever is most convenient. Then, when you are done using the stroller, a BabyQuip Provider will come back by and pick it up. Simple as that!
Bringing Your Own Stroller
The same perks that apply to renting a stroller through a third party also apply to bringing your own stroller. Guests who choose to do either will enjoy the benefits of being able to take their stroller from park to park, to the resort, and more. If you do choose to bring your stroller, make sure it is Disney-acceptable; any stroller should not be larger than 31” X 52”. Currently, guests cannot bring stroller wagons into Animal Kingdom. You should also bring a stroller that can easily fold up if you want to board a Disney bus, small boat, or tram.
How to Keep Track of Your Stroller
If you have never been to Animal Kingdom (or any Disney park) before, you may be shocked to see how many strollers sit together in the stroller parking area while families wait in line for rides. It is an ocean of strollers, and your stroller can be lost at sea. To help find your stroller quickly, consider attaching a bright sign or stroller organizer to the handlebar. Some guests prefer to tie a bright-colored balloon to their stroller. Others may purchase a bright stroller cover that can be easily seen from afar.

Keep Your Stroller Receipt Close
We mentioned this briefly above, but it is super important to keep track of your Animal Kingdom stroller rental receipt! Guests who pre-pay for a multi-day rental stroller can retrieve their stroller from the park each day as long as they have their receipt. Guests also need their receipts to pick up a stroller at another Disney Park after dropping off their original stroller at Animal Kingdom (since you cannot take them from park to park). Misplace your Animal Kingdom stroller rental? No problem! Simply show your receipt to a rental location to get a replacement (based on availability).
What To Bring For Your Stroller Rental
Last but not least, there are some things to consider bringing for your Animal Kingdom stroller rental (or personal stroller) before heading to the park. It could be rainy, so bringing along a stroller rain cover is 100% worth it. Anticipating hot weather? Small battery-operated fans that attach to the stroller are super convenient. As we mentioned above, it is not a bad idea to bring a brightly colored cover, balloon, or sign that can be attached to the stroller to easily identify it.
Hopefully, after reading these tips, you feel confident and excited to visit Animal Kingdom with your little one(s)! Thankfully, when it comes to strollers, you have options; whether you want to get an Animal Kingdom stroller rental, rent through a third party like BabyQuip, or bring your own. And hey—if you get to the park before your hotel room is ready, a cast member at Bell Services inside Animal Kingdom will be happy to hold your bags!
