BabyQuip recently celebrated its third anniversary and over the course of the summer we reached some important (and exciting) milestones!
You can now rent baby gear from over 500 Quality Providers.
BabyQuip now has more than 500 Quality Providers across the US and Canada! We crossed that mark in June. New markets where traveling families can now rent quality baby gear include Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Traverse City, Michigan; Invermere, British Columbia; Winnipeg, Manitoba and Modesto, California. We are covering a lot of territory, from Puerto Rico to Fairbanks, Alaska, from the Big Island of Hawaii to St. John’s in Newfoundland. We expect to get to over 700 by the end of the year with further expansion into new markets as well as adding more Quality Providers in markets we already serve. As our service and brand become more well known by parents and grandparents alike we expect to continue to experience strong demand.
More diverse baby gear rental items are added everyday.
We’re also growing our inventory line, largely due to customer demand. While cribs, car seats and strollers are still the most popular rental items, Quality Providers continue to add unique gear to the BabyQuip platform that targets their location, upcoming events and holidays, or the specific needs of families in their area. Play zones for birthday parties are growing in popularity and beach packages are getting rented at our ocean and lake destinations all the time. Need a yoga ball and mat at your Airbnb, or a comfy maternity pillow at your hotel? Chances are a BabyQuip Quality Provider can help.
Baby rentals from BabyQuip help save family vacations!
We’ve now helped 25,000 families have a better vacation experience! With nearly 10,000 families using BabyQuip in the first half of 2019! Think about it, traveling with babies and toddlers can be really difficult. BabyQuip has made it easier by providing safe and sound essentials like car seats, cribs, and strollers, but also toys, books, beach and hiking gear. I always love to read our five-star reviews where customers rave about the quality of the gear, the helpfulness of the Quality Provider, and how the service is a “godsend.”
Here’s one of my favorite reviews:
OMG!! BabyQuip is life changing & Caitlin is the BEST!!! How did we ever travel with babies & toddlers before Baby Quip?! From planning ahead, to pick up and drop off, it’s all so easy. And Caitlin even gave us some extra bath toys which my baby LOVED!! So, so recommended!!! Caitlin & her husband were so helpful and so willing to help us. Cannot say enough of what an amazing experience this has been!!

Vacations where families can spend quality time together not only make great memories (and Instagram posts), but also help families grow closer. I love that BabyQuip helps families in this way.

New partnerships formed with BabyQuip in 2019.
BabyQuip has formed many great partnerships over the last few years and have many more to announce in the near future. Here are the great companies that we’ve built relationships with in 2019:
Tot Squad:
BabyQuip has partnered with Tot Squad to provide seamless baby gear services to traveling parents. Now customers can get help from Tot Squad technicians when installing the gear they’ve rented from BabyQuip QPs.
Over 25% of BabyQuip baby equipment rental orders include a car seat. Parents and grandparents commonly ask that car seats be installed. It can be challenging to install car seats for babies and toddlers safely. This partnership will provide live, video-based installation instructions specific to the car seat that parents or grandparents have rented. Customers taking advantage of the cross-platform offer will also receive a 25% discount!
Guesty:
This property management software is specifically for short term vacation rentals and helps with all aspects of property management. Guesty’s platform is integrated with the world’s top online travel agencies, as well as third-party solutions—from dynamic pricing tools, to noise monitoring technology to keyless entry solutions. BabyQuip has joined Guesty’s marketplace to market BabyQuip’s services to Guesty customers.
JPMA:
For more than 40 years, JPMA (Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association) has helped parents feel confident in choosing safe products for their baby through the JPMA certification seal. JPMA is the top resource for product safety information and education It’s also where the industry comes together to confront issues, make decisions that affect the industry as a whole, and showcase their products.
As safety is a top priority for both the baby products industry and BabyQuip, it naturally made sense for BabyQuip to join the association. By becoming an associate member, BabyQuip is committed to making sure our quality providers are educated on the latest safety guidelines and products, as well as working with manufacturers to provide the best products out there to our customers!
New capital & new initiatives for BabyQuip.
Finally, I want to announce that BabyQuip recently secured additional growth capital from a range of angel and institutional investors. This capital will help us continue to improve the platform for both renters and Quality Providers, accelerate our partnerships, and drive our growth into new markets. This year’s growth has been incredible, well over 50% higher than last year.
The team and I are busy developing plans for the upcoming holidays (we gotta get started early) and new growth initiatives.
Wishing you and yours a great summer—full of family time! Pack light and travel happy!
