Begin your adventure on the Skyride—an aerial tram that will give the whole family epic views as far as the eye can see. At the top of the mountain, grab a bite to eat at the Observatory. Don’t forget to check out the Kid’s Tree Canopy Adventure geared towards children aged 3-8. It’s fully contained and consists of three double treehouses, one single treehouse, slides and ground games with an adjacent area for parents to supervise.

Greater Vancouver Zoo
The zoo is an easy go-to activity that’s great for warm sunny days. The Greater Vancouver Zoo is full of interactive and educational activities for kids of all ages. Take a fun train ride on the newly refurbished train. Learn about a variety of animal species from reptiles to raptors at the Keeper Talks. Kids will learn about the daily activities of the keepers and 15 different zoo animals.
Stanley Park
Stanley Park is Vancouver’s largest urban park and families can easily fill up a whole day with the abundance of activities it provides. What better way to let kids burn off energy than taking a bike ride along the iconic Seawall. It’s the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path! After a scenic bike ride, cool down at one of the many beaches, splash around at the Variety Kids Water Park or swim in the heated outdoor pool. There’s also four playgrounds to explore and don’t forget to ride the miniature train. Phew! Now that’s a serious day full of action!
Vancouver Aquarium
Located inside Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium is a family-friendly attraction in its own right! With over 50,00 animals and 30 exhibits, the kiddos won’t know where to look first! Check out a show such as Splash & Bubbles: 4-D Undersea Adventure, which will delight the kids. Book an exclusive “Encounter” where you can go behind the scenes for an up close and personal experience with an Aquarium trainer. You’ll learn about the life of a walrus, sea lion or sea otter. This is an experience the kids won’t soon forget!
Kids Market On Granville Island
Make it a point to visit Kids Market located in Vancouver at the entrance to Granville market. Kids will have a blast in a multi-level indoor playground, a sprinkler park, as well as an outdoor playground. Once the kids are tired from all of the fun play, venture into Granville Public Market. Grab a bite to eat from one of the many vendors or restaurants and eat by the waterfront. This makes for a lovely afternoon that the whole family will enjoy!
Visit Science World and see the largest Omnimax dome screen in the world.
What better place to get little minds thinking than at Science World! This museum is a mecca of interactive exhibits and hands on attractions! There’s a play area geared specifically to kids 5 and under, where they can explore age appropriate activities. Become part of the action at an immersive film on the largest OMNIMAX dome screen in the world! Kids will enjoy current showings such as Superpower Dogs or Great Bear Rainforest.
Best Beach in Vancouver: Kitsilano Beach
Kitsilano Beach, known to locals as Kits Beach, is one of the nicest beaches in all of Vancouver. Not only does it have a great beach with drift logs to play on, it also boasts an Olympic size swimming pool and a massive playground.
