To keep the gate open, just push the door past 90 degrees and the hold-open feature will kick-in, preventing closure.  The Toddleroo Woodcraft Steel Gate pressure mounts simply by using tension knobs to lock the gate in place. This baby gate stands 30 inches tall and fits room openings between 29.75 to 40.5 inches wide using two included extensions.
