About maple

• Our painted maple features a hand-applied paint over domestically-sourced maple. The wood's natural grain is hidden by the paint for a smooth, consistent appearance.

Characteristics

• We hand select boards for color consistency when creating each piece of furniture but the color, grain patterns and other natural markings may vary. While solid wood is very strong, it is a natural material, so it is susceptible to wear and markings, just as it would be in any environment. To help preserve solid wood, we recommend the use of trivets, coasters and pads for hot, wet or coarse items.

• Our non-toxic lacquer is Sherwin Williams Sher-Wood® F3 Hi-Bild PreCat Lacquer, which is GREENGUARD Gold Certified® for low chemical emissions. Free of lead, phthalates and formaldehyde, this clear lacquer is not only safe, it creates a smooth, low-sheen finish that is durable and easy to clean.
